Francesca Orchard

Francesca Orchard has a range of work experience in the legal field. Francesca currently holds the position of Director - Legal at SSQ, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Counsel at the same company from July 2021 to January 2023, and as an Associate Counsel from September 2019 to July 2021. Before joining SSQ, they served as an Executive Assistant to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Research and Enterprise at St Mary's University, Twickenham from 2018 to 2019. In the same year, they also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at The University of Law. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Solicitor/Law lecturer at Kingston College. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Solicitor at H.R. Owen PLC from 1997 to 1998, and as a Solicitor at Stephenson Harwood LLP from 1991 to 1996.

Francesca Orchard attended UCL from 1984 to 1989, earning a degree in Italian and History of Art. Francesca later studied at The University of Law from 1989 to 1991, focusing on Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. In addition, Francesca attended Università di Pisa for the academic year 1987-1988. Prior to their university education, they attended Lady Eleanor Holles School from 1974 to 1984. Francesca obtained the Solicitor certification from The Law Society in 1993.
