John White

EVP, Northwest Division at Shimmick Construction

John White is the Executive Vice President of the Northwest Division. He has over 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction and brings a wide range of experience in managing complex heavy civil projects including subway stations, heavy and light rail, bus transit, technical bridges, dams, diversions, habitat restoration, wastewater treatment, and commercial tower foundations.

John joined Shimmick in 2001 after spending three years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. During his over 18 years with Shimmick, he has worked on or led a large number of successful jobs in both our Northwest and Southwest regions. Some of his key projects the $175 million San Fernando Valley Bus Rapid Transit project, the $16 million Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant HVAC Upgrades and $16 million 620 Digesters retrofit in San Francisco, the $15 million Delta Mendota Canal pumping plant and pipeline construction, the $40 million Folsom Dam Mormon Island Auxiliary Dam structural retrofit, the $55 million Dumbarton Bridge Seismic Retrofit, the Salesforce Tower Foundation Excavation, and over $250 million in contracts awarded to Shimmick at the Transbay Transit Center in Downtown San Francisco.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
