Alyona Chernova

Alyona Chernova has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and development. Alyona currently works as a Test Automation Developer at Shinydocs since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at EPAM Systems for a significant period of time.

At EPAM Systems, Alyona held various roles and responsibilities. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer in a project related to the Healthcare domain in the USA. Alyona was part of a distributed test automation team of 15 engineers from the USA, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The main objectives of the project were to stabilize existing test scripts and increase regression coverage with autotests.

Before that, from 2016 to 2018, Alyona worked as a Software Test Automation Engineer on a project in the Transport Logistics domain for a customer in Belgium. Alyona was responsible for designing and coordinating automated tests, analyzing test results, and supervising a team of 4 QA engineers. Alyona also played the role of a point of contact for the customer.

From 2011 to 2016, Alyona held the position of Senior Software Testing Engineer where they led a testing team of 6 QA engineers on a project with 3 independent streams. Collaboration with other team leads and project management was an integral part of this role.

In their earlier career, Alyona worked as a Software Testing Engineer, specifically as a Key Tester, in an integration stream of a project. Collaboration with third-party teams and participation in documentation review were key responsibilities.

Alyona began their career as a Junior Software Testing Engineer. Before joining the software industry, they briefly worked as a Software Developer at Karaganda State Technical University.

Overall, Alyona Chernova has gained extensive experience in software testing, test automation, team supervision, and project coordination throughout their career.

Alyona Chernova received a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Karaganda State Technical University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained the following certifications: Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in February 2023, ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board in December 2020, and IELTS certification from IELTS Official in March 2020.
