Melvin Caruana has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Melvin began their career in 2007 at GO plc, where they worked as a Customer Support Agent and later as a GO Mobile Administrative Officer. In these roles, Melvin focused on customer care and provided support for mobile and data services. In 2012, they joined GFI Software as a Technical Support Representative, resolving clients' technical issues and conveying feedback to the product development team. Melvin then advanced to the role of Technical Support Team Leader, responsible for coordinating and distributing daily tasks within the team. In 2016, Melvin joined Concessionaire Analyzer+ as a CA+ Implementation and Support Analyst, where they assisted Product Managers with project tasks and provided guidance to clients during implementation. Since 2019, they have been working at Shireburn Software, initially as a Customer Support Team Lead, later transitioning to the role of Information Security Officer, and then to their current position as Operations Manager.

Melvin Caruana began their education at St. Augustine's College, Pieta' in 1999 and completed their studies in 2005. Melvin then pursued a MCAST-BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing Networking and Hardware at MCAST from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they attended STC from 2013 to 2016, majoring in Computer Science.

- In March 2016, they completed the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) Certificate in Leadership and Management.

- In December 2016, they successfully completed the Installing and Administering Atlassian JIRA course from LinkedIn.

- In February 2022, they acquired the Zoho Desk Certified Associate certification from Zoho.

- In February 2022, they also obtained the Zoho Assist Certified Associate certification from Zoho.

- In September 2010, they achieved the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco.

- In February 2023, they acquired the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.

- In June 2023, they successfully completed the Security Operations Center Analyst Foundation Course from the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre MT.
