Stella Chan

Stella Chan has a diverse work experience across various industries. Stella started their career as a Summer Intern at The EGS Group in 2014. Stella then completed a Summer Internship at the Lands Department, HKSAR in 2015, where they gained experience in survey mapping and legal property investigations. In the same year, they worked as a Principal Research Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Stella joined DBS Bank in 2017 as a Business Analyst, where they contributed to large-scale agile projects involving data migration and system implementation. Stella provided gap-analysis, designed workaround solutions, and wrote test scenarios.

In 2019, Stella worked as a Data Automation Engineer (Intern) at Infineon Technologies, automating yield reporting and data visualization. Stella developed Python scripts, implemented new Tableau reports, and optimized file size and loading time.

During the same period, they also worked as a Research Engineer at the Singapore Institute of Technology, leading a team in a research project focused on computer vision, virtual reality, and geospatial data analysis. Stella conducted research on deep learning methodologies and managed a team of intern developers.

Most recently, Stella joined KKday in 2021 as a Data Analyst, where they utilized their analytical skills to extract insights from data. Currently, they are working at ShopBack in a role focused on strategy and insights, starting in 2023.

Stella Chan's education history begins in 2012, where they enrolled at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Geomatics with a specialization in Spatial Data Science and Land Surveying. Stella completed their undergraduate studies in 2016.

In 2018, Stella continued their education at the National University of Singapore, where they pursued a Graduate Diploma in System Analysis with a focus on Computer Science. Stella completed this program in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Stella has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas. These certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2022, The Complete Web Developer in 2021: Zero to Mastery from Udemy in January 2021, Social and Behavioral Educational Researchers from CITI Program in December 2020, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning from deeplearning.ai in June 2020, May 2020, and March 2020 respectively. Stella also holds certifications in Google Cloud Platform from Qwiklabs in April 2020 and Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in December 2019. Stella has also completed a course in Machine Learning from Stanford University in June 2019.
