Yu Zhao

Yu (Steven) Zhao is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Shopee since November 2021. Prior to this role, Yu worked at Microsoft for nearly a decade, progressing from Software Development Engineer to Principal Software Development Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the development of the Microsoft Loop partner component and working on Microsoft Power Virtual Agents. Notable achievements at Microsoft include promoting the design and development of core features in the Azure portal and leading multiple engineering teams. Yu's career commenced as a Software Development Engineer at CA Technologies, followed by positions as a Technical Architect and Lead Consultant at Xuenn Pte Ltd and NCS Group, respectively.
