Gustavo Ortiz

Gustavo Ortiz is currently the President of SHPE USF, where he manages a team to organize events for the personal & professional development of members. He also serves as a mentor for 4 students, providing guidance in weekly meetings. In addition, he holds the position of VP of Professional Development, leading a committee to plan events for active members. He is also involved as a SHPE Jr Lead at King HS, assisting in planning events and workshops. Gustavo also has experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Northrop Grumman and has worked as a Server Assistant at Forbici Modern Italian. Prior to this, he was a Front End Assistant at Costco Wholesale and a Nike Athlete at Nike. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida, after completing an Associate of Arts degree at Hillsborough Community College.
