Ivar Meyvantsson

Ivar Meyvantsson is the current Senior Director of Product Management at Sidekick. Ivar has over fifteen years of experience in product development and management. Ivar has a proven track record in growing companies and teams and has been instrumental in the success of several startups. Ivar was the Head of Product Development at Valka ehf, where they oversaw the development of the most advanced whitefish production facility in the world. Valka was acquired by Marel in July 2021. Prior to Valka, Ivar was the CEO of Mentis Cura, where they raised new capital to develop the Digital Health business for dementia diagnostics. Ivar has also served as the Head of Operations at Invenra and the Director of Engineering at BellBrook Labs. Ivar is a Co-founder and Director of R&D at Salus Discovery.

Ivar Meyvantsson completed a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ivar also completed an Executive Education program at the MIT Sloan School of Management, focused on developing and managing a successful technology and product strategy. Ivar Meyvantsson also holds an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Háskóli Íslands, as well as a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same school. In addition, Ivar Meyvantsson has a certification from Coursera in An Introduction to Marketing (Wharton).
