Dr. Selina Parmar

Dr. Selina Parmar has a wealth of experience in the field of talent and people management. Dr. Selina is currently the Chief People Officer and Global Head of People at Sideways 6, a company that exists to build better businesses through employee ideas. Prior to this, they were the YSYS Community Advocate at YSYS, a Member at Global Women in VC, Head of Talent and People, People and Talent Coach, and Talent and People Manager at Founders Factory, a Consultant at Druthers Search, Head of People & Talent at Dojo Media, a Freelance Talent at Adaptive Lab, a Senior Associate and Associate at Coulter Partners, and a NIHR BRU funded PhD Fellow at NIHR Clinical Research BRU/ University of Sheffield.

Dr. Selina Parmar has a varied educational background. In 2021, they obtained a CIPD Qualification in Human Resources Management and Services. From 2009 to 2012, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine at The University of Sheffield. In 2008-2009, they obtained a Master of Research (MRes) in Medicine from The University of Sheffield. Finally, from 2005 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry from The University of Sheffield. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Parmar has obtained two certifications: Advance: Scaling Leaders from Tech Nation in September 2021, and Mental Health First Aider from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.
