Brian Dawson

Brian Dawson has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 1999. Brian began their career at EDS as an Information Analyst and Activity Team Lead, where they maintained mainframe data processing jobs and produced data ROM files. In 2004, they moved to OAO Technology Solutions as a Team Leader and Software Developer, where they were responsible for project prioritization and team assignments, resource balancing, and project delivery schedules. In 2007, they joined Blazent as a Sr. ETL Developer, Business Analyst, and Team Lead, where they gained extensive experience in ETL development, PL/SQL, Oracle, DB2, data integration, web technologies, Linux shell scripting, and data warehouse design. In 2015, they joined LLamasoft, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and ETL Data Architect. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Sight Machine as a Data Architect, Senior Data Architect, and Director of Data Architecture.

Brian Dawson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 1999, with a double major in Management Information Systems and Marketing (Logistics Management). Brian has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including API Development on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors) and API Security on Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors) in February 2019, Develop APIs with the Apigee API Platform - Specialization in February 2019, API Design and Fundamentals of Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform (with Honors) in January 2019, Getting and Cleaning Data in May 2015, R Programming in May 2015, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox in March 2015.
