Job description

  • Reporting to Director of FP&A & Commercial Finance (London based)
  • Responsibility for owning budgeting/forecasting of business including:
  • Owning and maintaining company forecast (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow) in Adaptive Planning
  • Owning and running budgeting process
  • Making changes to calculations in Adaptive Planning as required
  • Producing different forecast scenarios for the business
  • Reporting on Budget vs Actuals
  • Controlling cost decisions with the business vs budget
  • Business Partnering with multiple functions
  • Additional support of the FP&A and Finance function as required
  • Ad hoc analysis as required
  • Opportunities for growth and project work

Key Experience:

  • 4-8 years of FP&A and/or accounting experience. SaaS environment is a plus, alternatively an analytical role in consulting, investment banking or similar environment may be considered with financial modeling and systems experience.
  • Significant experience producing and/or maintaining financial models crucial (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow).
  • Experience working with and building financial models with Adaptive Planning (Workday tool) a distinct advantage. Alternatively experience with a competitor tool would be valuable (e.g. Anaplan, Vena, Oracle EPM, IBM Planning Analytics or similar tool). Otherwise a commitment to learn Adaptive Planning and experience quickly learning new tools will be considered.
  • Comfortable working in a high achieving environment
  • Degree qualified unless qualified by experience. Accounting, economics, finance or business qualification a plus

Key Skill-set:

  • Proficiency in G-Suite/Microsoft Office especially Excel/G-Sheets.
  • Adaptive Planning skills or experience with a similar tool.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills - ability to distill complex information into clear slides and messaging.
  • Ambitious mindset looking to take on new challenges and grow with the company.
  • Inquisitive mind - asking questions when unsure to ensure alignment going forward.
  • A proactive attitude and eager to learn from peers and business partners.
  • An interest in changing and improving process and budget management.
  • Willing to commit to ensure quality work output and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure collaboration across teams and relationship building at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, think objectively and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
  • While you are hands-on, you hate solving problems manually but want to do as much as possible in an automated, scalable way. Including learning new tools/applications.
