Steven D. began their career in 2006 as a QuickBooks Merchant Services Customer Service Agent for Innovative Merchant Solutions, an Intuit Co. In the same year, they also took on the role of QuickBooks Tier II & Innovative Gateway Support Technician and Marketing & Sales Operations Specialist for Intuit Payment Solutions. In 2012, they moved on to Total Merchant Services as a Senior Software Specialist, where they were responsible for building and fulfilling shipping orders for credit card terminals and Point of Sale systems. In 2015, they joined BR Merchant Services as a Technical Support Team Lead, and they also worked at Signature Payments in various roles, including Support Team Supervisor, Technical Support Supervisor, Senior Technical Support & Projects Specialist, and Technical Support Specialist.

Steven D. Drayton attended Pierce College from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Computer Science. Steven D. then went on to attend Antelope Valley College, where they earned a Computer Networking Core Certificate (Computer Science).
