Responsibilities:

  1. Data Cleaning and Preparation: Cleaning and preprocessing spatial datasets to ensure data quality and consistency. This may involve removing duplicates, correcting errors, and standardizing formats.
  2. Spatial Analysis: Performing spatial analysis techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships with geographic data. This could include working with Metashape to produce proximity analysis, spatial clustering, and hotspot analysis.
  3. Data Visualization: Creating maps, charts, and other visualizations to effectively communicate insights derived from spatial data. Tools like ArcGIS and QGIS are often used for this purpose.
  4. Geocoding and Mapping: Converting addresses or place names into geographic coordinates and creating interactive maps to visualize spatial data.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Documenting analysis procedures, findings, and recommendations in reports or presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of spatial analyses by performing quality assurance check and validation procedures.
  7. Delivering Data: Packaging all necessary materials to promptly deliver to the client.
  8. Software and Hardware Maintenance: Implementing and maintaining software and hardware systems to uphold organization, security, and processing efficiency.
  9. Stay Updated: Keeping abreast of advancements in drone, AI, GIS technology and methodologies to continually improve analytical processes and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field.
  • Experience working with GIS software.
  • Knowledge of python, R, and other coding databases.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware.
  • Ability to create a forecast plan and organize projects to ensure prompt delivery to clients.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize projects.
  • Effectively communicate and work with a team of knowledgeable professionals.

Work Requirements:

  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
