Ana Akhtar

VP, Philanthropic Services at Silicon Valley Community Foundation

Ana Akhtar is the VP of Donor Services at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Ana has over 20 years of experience in the corporate social responsibility and philanthropy space. Ana began their career at KPMG in 1997 as the West Coast Lead for Development and Exempt Organizations. In this role, they cultivated relationships with corporate executives to guide and facilitate social investments. Ana also oversaw cross functional engagement teams to deliver creative solutions across multiple issue areas, including operational planning, non-profit effectiveness, risk assessment, programmatic and financial evaluations, and domestic and international tax compliance.

In their current role at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Ana is responsible for managing donor relationships and maximizing the impact of their philanthropic investments. Ana is passionate about helping their clients create positive change in the world and is committed to helping them achieve their philanthropic goals.

After completing their undergraduate degree in political science at Middlebury College, Ana Akhtar pursued a Masters of Science in Accounting at the University of Miami.

Jennifer Mante - Donor Services Administrative Associate, Grants, Chris Drysdale - Senior Grants Manager, and Eliana Bono - Grants Associate report to Ana Akhtar. They are on a team with Sarah Valencia - SVP, Finance, James Cutler - Senior Investment Officer, and George Lin - SVP, IT. Ana Akhtar reports to Liz Carey, EVP, Finance & Operations.
