Asad Munir

Asad Munir has gained significant work experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. Asad currently holds the position of AI Scientist at Silo AI since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Computer Vision Researcher at Università degli Studi di Udine from September 2018 to February 2022. In this role, they contributed to the Machine Learning and Perception Lab and was involved in Marie Curie's ACHIEVE project under H2020 Innovative Training Network by the European Union. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineer (Electronics) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology from August 2013 to February 2016.

Asad Munir pursued a diverse education history to acquire expertise in industrial engineering, computer vision, deep learning, computer software and media applications, and simulation and modeling. Asad began their educational journey in 2009 at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Simulation and Modeling. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2013, Asad furthered their academic pursuits by enrolling in the Università degli Studi di Udine in 2018. During their time at this institution, they studied for a PhD in Industrial Engineering, specializing in the field of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. Additionally, from 2016 to 2018, Asad attended Chung-Ang University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software and Media Applications. Asad Munir's educational background reflects their commitment to acquiring a comprehensive understanding of various disciplines within the realm of engineering and computer science.
