Waqar Ahmed

Waqar Ahmed has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Waqar currently works as an AI Scientist at Silo AI since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a PHD Student at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia from November 2018 to November 2021. Before their PHD, Waqar was a Design Engineer at Precision Technology (Pvt) Ltd from January 2015 to January 2021. Waqar also worked at PAF-KIET as a Lecturer, Research Assistant, and Teacher Assistant from January 2011 to October 2018.

Waqar Ahmed holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Pattern Analysis & Computer Vision from the University of Genoa, which they obtained from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering from PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology from 2013 to 2015. Waqar also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from the same institution, which they earned from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Waqar completed a D.A.E in Electronics from Jamia Milli Polytechnic Institute, Karachi from 2005 to 2007, and a T.S.C in Computer Science from Jamia Milli Vocational Institute, Karachi from 2002 to 2004.

Waqar Ahmed has obtained several certifications as well. In 2019, they completed a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera. Waqar also obtained certifications in Docker for absolute beginners from Coursera in February 2023 and in Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals from both Coursera and Google Cloud Skills Boost in October 2022.
