Flavio Altinier Maximiano da Silva

Flavio Altinier Maximiano da Silva has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Flavio began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2013. Flavio then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at FAPESP from 2014 to 2015.

In 2016, Flavio interned as a Data Science Intern at NASA Ames Research Center. Flavio gained valuable experience in the field of data science during this time.

Flavio joined iFood in 2017, where they held roles as a Business Intelligence Intern, Data Scientist, and Data Engineer. Flavio contributed to data engineering and analysis projects, demonstrating their technical skills and adaptability.

In 2018, Flavio transitioned to Pier Seguradora, where they have held various positions. Flavio started as a Data Engineer and gradually progressed to the roles of Data & Risk Lead, Engineering & Data Lead, and finally Staff Data Engineer.

As the only Staff level II at Pier, Flavio assumes responsibility for overseeing the company's entire data landscape. Flavio is involved in data pipeline management, data modeling, and analytics. Additionally, they mentor other developers, drives the company's technical strategy, and experiments with new tools and systems.

Throughout their career, Flavio has demonstrated expertise in data engineering, data science, and analytics. Flavio has contributed to the growth and success of various organizations, leveraging their technical skills and leadership abilities.

Flavio Altinier Maximiano da Silva completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering with a Computer Systems Emphasis at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2012 to 2016. Flavio later pursued further education in Computer Science at Cornell University from 2015 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in various subjects, including "Astronomy: Exploring Time and Space" from Coursera in March 2015, "Machine Learning" from Coursera in December 2013, and "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" from Coursera in June 2013.
