Katie P. Kurtz

Katie P. Kurtz is the Chief Financial Officer of Silverstein Properties, and is responsible for the management and oversight of the company’s finance organization.

Prior to joining Silverstein, Katie was an Executive Vice President at AR Global (ARG). During her time at ARG, Katie served as the Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer for multiple Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) and Business Development Companies (BDC). Katie most recently served as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer for three REITs: American Finance Trust, Inc. (NASDAQ: AFIN), Healthcare Trust, Inc. and New York City REIT, Inc. (NYSE: NYC).

Prior to joining ARG in 2013, Katie was employed as a Vice President at The Carlyle Group, where she served as Chief Accounting Officer for Carlyle GMS Finance, Inc. From 2010 to 2012, Katie served as Director of Finance and Controller for New Mountain Finance Corporation, an exchange-traded BDC. Prior to that position, Katie served as Controller at Solar Capital Ltd., an exchange-traded BDC. She also served in various accounting and financial reporting roles at GFI Group, Inc. Katie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Katie is a certified public accountant in New York State. She holds a BS in Accountancy, a BA in German Studies and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University.

Katie and her husband live in Hoboken, NJ with their two daughters.
