Thomas Leong Yew Hong

Datuk Thomas Leong is responsible for Sime Darby Berhad’s overall strategy, mergers & acquisitions, business development, corporate finance, and investor relations, as well as the Group’s communications and technology functions. Datuk Thomas Leong joined the Sime Darby Group as the Head of Group Strategy and Corporate Finance in 2016. He was previously the Executive Vice President and the Head of Maybank Group’s Strategy and Business Development.

Datuk Thomas Leong also held senior positions as a management consultant in Accenture and Deloitte Consulting, based in Australia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

Datuk Thomas Leong is a Director of Sime Darby Eastern International Limited, Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd, Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Weifang Sime Darby Port Co Limited, and various private limited companies under the Sime Darby Group.

Datuk Thomas Leong holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Australian National University, and an MBA (International Corporate Finance) from the University of Sydney and has sat on various panels for mentorship programs and Fintech start-ups.
