Steve Vogt has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Steve started their career in 1989 as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where they served in various capacities including Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, Assistant Inspector, Assistant Legal Attaché, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Legal Attaché, and Special Agent in Charge. During their time at the FBI, they were responsible for leading investigations and programs related to public corruption, violent crime, financial crime, terrorism, counterintelligence, and cybercrime. Steve also served in overseas roles, overseeing FBI national security and criminal investigations in Afghanistan and conducting investigations in Iraq. In 2015, Steve joined Citi, where they held the positions of Senior Vice President and Director until 2022. Steve then transitioned to Simmons Bank, where they currently hold the role of Director of Fraud Operations.
Steve Vogt obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law from 1986 to 1989. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) from Washington and Lee University from 1982 to 1986. Steve Vogt also holds additional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) obtained in November 2022 from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS) obtained in December 2019 from ACAMS.
