Monica Bisal has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Monica began their career as a Publicist at Whitecap Books and Raincoast Books, where they developed media pitches and organized publicity events. Monica then transitioned to the role of Philanthropy Coordinator at BC Children's Hospital Foundation, where they exceeded fundraising goals and supported the Executive team. Monica later worked as a Communications Coordinator at the College of Registered Nurses of BC, organizing events and writing articles for external publications. Monica also served as the Public Relations Manager at Syntaris Power, where they developed the company's corporate communications strategy and supported various teams. Monica then worked as a Business Analyst at Vancouver Coastal Health, enhancing internal communications and designing annual reports. Monica also had a role as a Communications Consultant at Insite Consultancy, providing strategic communications planning and data analysis for healthcare projects. Monica joined the BC Cancer Foundation as a Communications Specialist, managing communications province-wide to support cancer research and patient care. Currently, Monica holds the position of Director of Communications at Simon Fraser University, overseeing the university's communication strategies and leading major projects.

Monica Bisal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University between 1998 and 2003. Following that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategic Management from The University of British Columbia, completing it in 2012.
