Souvik Sarkar (PMP®, PSM, ITIL)

Souvik Sarkar has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and testing, with a focus on process improvement and project delivery. Souvik has held various roles throughout their career, including QE Head at Simplify Healthcare, Technology Manager at Deloitte, Program Test Manager at Genpact - NASCO (Client), Testing Delivery Manager at Jawood Business Process Solutions - BCBSMN (Client), and Delivery Lead/Test Lead/SME at Felix Health Technologies - BCBSM (Client). Souvik's responsibilities have included introducing new defect processes, regression strategies, and reporting structures, reducing defect turnaround time and density, establishing and policing defect processes internally, leading QA delivery of localization enhancements and sprint testing, overseeing test coordination and defect management, developing and implementing test strategies, overseeing SIT test readiness activities, and providing IT and SME support. Souvik has also been involved in conducting interviews, assessing quality process holders, gathering program requirements, and acting as a liaison between executive team members and stakeholders.

Souvik Sarkar has a strong educational background in computer science, materials engineering and science, and metallurgy. In 2021, they obtained a postgraduate degree in Computer Science from Great Learning. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Materials Engineering and Science from South Dakota Mines. Souvik completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Metallurgy from Government College of Engineering, Pune, from 1997 to 2001.

In addition to their education, Souvik Sarkar has also obtained several certifications. Souvik is a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc., which they obtained in December 2020. In June 2020, they became a Certified Professional in Selenium Automation Testing from scrumalliance.org. Souvik also holds the AWS Developer Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they acquired in March 2020. Souvik Sarkar is ITIL certified since February 2017 and obtained the Certified PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification from Scrum.org in December 2016.

Furthermore, they hold certifications in health information technology implementation support and technical & software support, both obtained from Macomb Community College in March 2011. Additionally, they became a Certified JAD (Joint Application Development) Facilitator from Pierson Applications Development, Inc. in October 2006.

Lastly, Souvik Sarkar is a Certified PMP (Project Management Professional) in Good Standing, certified by the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in March 2010.
