Alastair Brown has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Alastair has held significant leadership roles in various industries, including FMCG, retail, beverages, and auditing. Currently, Alastair is the Finance Director and Company Secretary at Simplot Australia Pty Ltd, where they oversee the financial operations and global strategy for the company. Prior to that, they spent two years as the Head of Finance for the Packaged Business Units at Coles, where they managed a multi-billion dollar business. Before Coles, Alastair worked in senior finance roles at Asahi Beverages, where they served as the Divisional Head of Finance for both the Alcohol and Non-Alcohol divisions. Alastair was also a National Finance Business Partner in charge of major business cases. At KPMG Australia, Alastair gained extensive experience in audit, financial reporting, and in providing accounting services during the separation of companies. Additionally, they worked at KPMG UK as a Senior Accountant.
