Rachael Marusarz

Rachael Marusarz, MBA, EdD, is a fundraising executive who has spent nearly two decades building development programs and operations in the health care, human service, and social justice fields in the Chicago area. As a mission-driven professional, Rachael is deeply committed to public service and to collaborating with community leaders and local partners to foster healthier, stronger communities.

Rachael joined Sinai Chicago’s Development team in 2016. Prior to assuming her current role as Chief Development Officer, she has held the roles of System Director of Development and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. As System Director of Development, Rachael worked with Sinai Chicago’s colleagues, donors, and other stakeholders to produce the greatest level of philanthropy in Sinai’s 100-year history, with a record-breaking $11.9 million in donations raised over a 10-month period. As Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, she collaborated with the Chief Development Officer and leaders across the health system to triple corporate and foundation contributions over a five-year period and build a consolidated, highly collaborative institutional giving program serving Sinai Chicago’s seven entities. Previously, Rachael served in progressively responsible fundraising and leadership roles at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Blue Island Citizens for Persons with Developmental Disabilities.
