Cary Lerman

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Sinai Temple

Cary has been on the Board of Directors for eight years and has just completed six consecutive years on the Executive Committee, serving first as Assistant Secretary, followed by Vice-President of Finance and, most recently, Vice-President of Education. He is currently Chair of the By-Laws Committee, and also serves on the Contracts, Budget, Insurance, and Facilities committees of the Board of Directors. He is also on the SAA Search Committee for a new, permanent head of school. Previously, he served as President of the Men’s Club (and continues as an active member of its Executive Committee), chaired the Temple’s ad hoc Property Tax Rebate Committee, served on the Temple/SAA Oversight Committee, was a member of the SAA Board and a member of its Budget Committee, and served on the Temple’s Audit, Board Nominating, Investment, Religious School, House and Grounds, Program and Technology Committees. He and his wife were recipients of the Men’s Club’s Burning Bush Award, and he also received the Men’s Club’s Man of the Year honor.
