Kuno Kasak

Researcher at Single.Earth

Kuno Kasak has held a variety of roles in the environmental field over the past decade. In 2011, they began working as a Project Manager for the Estonian Fund for Nature (ELF). In 2012, they took on two roles, Research Fellow and Project Manager, at the University of Tartu. Kuno also worked as an Environmental Specialist for Alkranel Ltd. that same year. In 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2021, they began working as a Researcher for Single.Earth, an organization which aims to protect nature by making carbon removal and biodiversity tradable. Finally, in 2020, they became an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the University of Tartu.

Kuno Kasak obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Tartu in 2010. Kuno then proceeded to acquire a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Ecological Engineering from the same university in 2012. Finally, they achieved a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology in 2016 from the University of Tartu.
