Arildo Dias

Senior Researcher at Single.Earth

Arildo Dias has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Arildo began their career as a Lecturer at UFSCar - Federal University of São Carlos in 2013. In 2015, they moved to Wageningen University & Research as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they conducted research focused on data analyses, data assemble and management, meta-analysis and literature review. In 2017, they joined Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia / MCTI as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they monitored the effects of climate on forest structure and functioning. In 2019, they began working as a Guest Researcher at Goethe University, developing a research that combines mechanistic modelling of vegetation processes and biodiversity. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Single.Earth as a Senior Researcher, aiming to protect nature by making carbon removal and biodiversity tradable.

Arildo Dias earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Plant Science and Ecology from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2013, having started their studies there in 2009.
