Rachel Leyland Fcipd

Rachel Leyland FCIPD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Rachel began their career at House of Fraser, where they served in various HR roles, including Recruitment Coordinator and HR Administrator. During their time at House of Fraser, they were responsible for managing non-management vacancies, delivering HR services to employees, and overseeing recruitment, payroll, and training processes.

In 2006, Leyland joined WYG Group as a Senior HR Advisor, providing dedicated HR support to a business unit of 1200 employees. Rachel later took on the role of HR Business Partner, where they partnered with board-level directors and oversaw HR functions for various divisions, including Engineering, Energy, and Finance. Leyland also led the learning and development activities for WYG Group, where they successfully relaunched a graduate development program.

Currently, Leyland is working at Sir Robert McAlpine as the Head of HR. In this role, they are responsible for leading the HR department and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of HR services. Rachel also serves as a senior member of the Group HR function and is involved in various HR projects.

Throughout their career, Leyland has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has regularly deputized for senior HR executives. Rachel is experienced in managing complex HR processes including salary reviews, employee engagement surveys, and performance management cycles. Leyland is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Rachel Leyland FCIPD earned a Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services from Farnborough College of Technology from 2004 to 2006. Rachel then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Surrey from 2000 to 2004. Currently, they are enrolled in the Senior Leader Executive Programme at Cranfield School of Management, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.
