Prior to this, they worked as the Global Director of Privacy at Veritas Technologies LLC.

Mark has also contributed to the privacy community through their involvement with the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. Mark served as the Co-Chairman of the IAPP London Knowledge Net, organizing educational meetings and networking activities for privacy professionals in the local area.

Additionally, Mark has provided guidance on privacy and data protection compliance as the GDPR & Data Protection Specialist Advisor at the UK Government Cabinet Office. Mark has also served as the Global Data Protection Officer & Legal Director at Dentsu Aegis Network, where they were responsible for developing the data protection strategy and program across 140 countries.

During their tenure, BT achieved both Controller and Processor Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs), a significant accomplishment for a UK telecommunications company.

Before transitioning into the privacy field, Mark gained experience in compliance, ethics, and risk management at BP plc, where they served in various roles. Mark started their career in the HM Forces (ARMY) Corps of Royal Engineers as a Royal Engineer in the Army Reserve.

Mark Keddie FIP has a Bachelor's degree in Politics (MA Hons) from the University of Glasgow, which they obtained between 1989 and 1994. In 1998 and 1999, they obtained a Master's degree in International Marketing from the University of the West of Scotland.
