Alex West

Alex West is an accomplished geoscience professional with extensive experience in oil and gas exploration and development. Currently serving as Geoscience Manager at Sitio Royalties since December 2022, Alex leads A&D evaluations across multiple basins, including the successful $4.1 billion sale to Viper Energy. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Geologist at Brigham Minerals, where Alex facilitated the acquisition of 19,000 net royalty acres, and a role as Geologist at Devon Energy, focusing on the STACK asset and overseeing the drilling of approximately 50 horizontal wells. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of Arkansas, complemented by early experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and participation in the AAPG Imperial Barrel Award competition.
