Sonali Kothare

Sonali Kothare, PHR/M.S., has a diverse and extensive background in human resources. Sonali is currently working as the Human Resources Director at Sitio Royalties since September 2023. Prior to this, they had a significant tenure at Cheniere Energy, Inc. where they held multiple roles. Sonali started as a HR Business Partner in February 2017 and worked their way up to become a Senior HR Business Partner. In these roles, they provided full-cycle HR support to corporate clients, focused on employee relations cases, and used their talent development and recruiting experience to create innovative solutions. Sonali also served as a Senior Analyst & Equity Plan Administrator, leading the Equity Administration function for the company. Before Cheniere Energy, Sonali worked as a Human Resources Generalist at SGS OIL GAS & CHEMICALS, where they managed HR initiatives for the Gulf Coast region. Sonali began their career as an HR Intern at USAA and Chaione, followed by roles as an HR Recruiter and Talent Development Consultant at Marathon Oil Corporation. Sonali also has experience as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Houston and as a Professional Bollywood Dancer at Masala Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Sonali Kothare holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Houston, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2010. Sonali has also pursued additional certifications, including a PHR certification from SHRM in 2014, and obtained the Birkman personality profile certification in 2012.
