Sean Abedi

Sean Abedi is an accomplished Principal Analyst currently working at Six One Commodities since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sean served at BioUrja Group as Principal Analyst and Tech Lead for Power Trading, where leadership of a team focused on developing proprietary energy trading analytics and models was key. Additional experience includes a role as Managing Consultant for Data Science at Veritone and positions at Purdue University, where contributions spanned visiting research scholarship and senior technical consultancy. Sean co-founded InstaQuant and held various academic positions through institutions such as Texas Tech University and Amirkabir University of Technology. Educational qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Data Science and Renewable Energy from Purdue University, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power and Energy from Amirkabir University of Technology.
