Prashant Maheshwari

Prashant Maheshwari has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and software development. Prashant is currently working at Skit.ai as a Machine Learning Research Engineer starting from 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Scania Group as a Machine Learning Engineer from June 2021 to February 2022.

In 2020, Prashant interned at Sony as a Machine Learning Intern, where they focused on Hand-pose Detection in a video stream for IoT applications. Prashant improved the inference time using model optimization techniques and dealt with challenges such as real-time performance, low-computation resources, varying lighting conditions, and robustness.

From 2016 to 2019, Prashant worked at Capillary Technologies. Prashant started as a Machine Learning Engineer and then progressed to the role of Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Their responsibilities included leading the research and development of customer satisfaction and Intent detection with Speech Processing, implementing state-of-the-art methods, and creating a NodeJS server for IoT device registration using AWS-IoT services. Prashant also worked on Visitor Metric, where they focused on data augmentation methods, optimization, and robustness of detection and tracking modules, and visual analysis of model performance.

In 2015, Prashant had a software development internship at [24]7, where they enhanced the existing Chat solution by adding the functionality of transferring previous chat context to chat agents using JavaScript and HTML.

Their professional journey began in 2014 with a summer internship at HMT Bearings Ltd.

Prashant Maheshwari has a Master's degree in Machine Learning from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which they obtained between the years 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics & Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from 2012 to 2016. Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they completed their 12th grade education in Science at R.P.V.V, Delhi, from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Prashant Maheshwari has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they acquired the certifications "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera. In 2017, they obtained the certification "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" also from Coursera.
