J.B. Ruhl

J.B. Ruhl began their career in 1982 as a Partner at FULBRIGHT & JAWORSKI INTERNATIONAL LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright). In 1999, they joined Florida State University College of Law as a Professor. In 2011, they were appointed as the David Daniels Allen Distinguished Chair of Law at Vanderbilt University Law School. In 2016, they became a Law Consultant and Co-Founder at Brooklyn Investment Group.

J.B. Ruhl completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Virginia between 1975 and 1979. J.B. then attended the University of Virginia School of Law from 1979 to 1982, though no degree was obtained. In 1982, they moved to The George Washington University Law School, where they obtained an LL.M. in Environmental Law in 1986. After a 13-year break, J.B. Ruhl returned to school in 1999 and obtained a Ph.D. in Geography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2006.
