Kolt Ewing

Kolt Ewing has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Kolt is currently working at SkySpecs as a Software Engineering Manager, a position they started in December 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at SkySpecs from June 2021 to January 2023.

Kolt also worked as a Student Technical Assistant at the Institute for Cyber Enabled Research from May 2015 to May 2016. In this role, they remodeled the company's contact application written in Ruby and JavaScript and updated HTML and CSS to Bootstrap 3 for mobile accessibility.

Earlier in their career, Kolt worked as a Web Editor at the Matrix Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences from July 2014 to March 2015, where they edited and optimized web content using HTML and CSS. Kolt also used OCR software and JavaScript to assist in the creation of digital projects and organized digital information for academic websites.

Kolt gained teaching experience as a Professorial Intern at Michigan State University from September 2014 to December 2014.

Lastly, they worked as a Graphic Designer at H-Net: Humanities & Social Sciences On-Line from October 2013 to July 2014. Their responsibilities included creating web banners using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, researching historical topics, and providing online troubleshooting assistance to members of academia.
