Patrick Hodgins is a mechanical engineer who currently works at Skytree. Patrick has previous experience working as a certification engineer at Thompson Aero Seating, where they were responsible for testing new aircraft seating structures.
Hodgins has also been involved in the technical plans and reports documentation for submission to Boeing and Airbus, as well as the research and development of test failures using FMEA and airworthiness flammability and electrical testing.
Some of Hodgins' other role experiences include dynamic and static testing, technical plan and report writing, interface loading calculation between aircraft seating and floor structure, and supporting initial technical coordination meetings, product design reviews and final article inspections. Patrick is also proficient in CAD software, such as CATIA V5/V6 and Smarteam Viewer, and has coordinate measuring expertise through the utilisation of the FARO system.
Patrick Hodgins attended Ulster University where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Patrick then went on to study for their Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at South Down and Ards Regional Collage. Patrick also has a National Diplomal in Uniformed Public Services from North Down Regional Collage. In addition, they have a certification from Avisa Aviation Safety Systems in Cabin Safety Certification.
