Georgie McDaniel

Level Designer at Sledgehammer Games

Georgie McDaniel has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. They started their career as an intern at Player Research in 2013, where they played a role in the analysis and evaluation of pre-released games. They then worked as a Games Tester at Kwalee Ltd in 2014. In the same year, they also completed an Industrial Placement at Gamer Network, where they worked on various projects in the Tech department.

In 2016, Georgie joined Plug-In Media Ltd as a Junior Games Developer, specializing in Unity games development for children's iOS and Android games. They achieved success with their latest release "Shimmer and Shine Genie Games," which reached the number one spot in the iPad paid children's game charts on the iOS store.

Georgie then worked at Hangar 13 starting in 2018, initially as a Development Assistant. They progressed to the role of Associate Mission Designer, where they contributed to the design of games. In June 2021, they transitioned into a Games Designer role at the same company. Their most recent position is as a Level Designer at Sledgehammer Games, which they began in August 2022.

Georgie McDaniel attended the University of Sussex from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing for Digital Media.
