Alastair Payne

Alastair Payne has a strong background in software engineering and management roles. Alastair is currently an Engineering Manager at Slice, where they oversee the engineering team. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Engineer at Slice, where they were responsible for leading the development of key projects. Before joining Slice, Alastair worked at iManage as a Principal UX Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Developer. In these roles, they provided technical leadership, designed and architected front-end solutions, and mentored the UX team. Alastair also specialized in enterprise application development and focused on creating reusable and maintainable code. Alastair also has experience working at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Software Developer, where they were the Technical Lead on a UI Framework product. Alastair achieved UI and branding alignment and reduced development time across enterprise applications by providing a framework with reusable components. Prior to that, they worked at HP Autonomy as a Software Engineer, where they introduced role-based security features and designed and developed UX and UI for a web client. Alastair has a proven track record of delivering successful projects, providing technical expertise, and driving innovation in software development.

Alastair Payne completed their education from 2009 to 2014 at Queen's University Belfast. During this time, they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science.
