Mette Hoberg Tønnesen

Mette Hoberg Tønnesen serves as CEO of both The Link and Startup Aarhus, where focus is on enhancing the startup ecosystem in Aarhus by eliminating barriers for entrepreneurs. As organizer of Aarhus Slush'D, Mette is instrumental in orchestrating one of Denmark's premier entrepreneurial events. In addition, Mette holds board positions at IværksætterCluster Gellerup and VL - The Danish Management Society, advocating for progressive management and community development. Mette's extensive background in economic diplomacy spans various roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, including as Commercial Attaché in the MENA region and Head of Mission in New Zealand. Mette's educational background includes a cand.scient.pol in Political Science and Government from Aarhus University and a degree from Aarhus købmandsskole.
