Mohamed Alkaff

Mohamed Alkaff is an experienced Application Engineer currently with SMA Altenso GmbH since May 2019. Prior to this role, Mohamed completed a Master Thesis Project at SMA Sunbelt Energy GmbH, focusing on the design, sizing, and simulation of a 1MW PV-Diesel Hybrid with Storage project for a Pacific island, utilizing containerized Lithium Ion batteries for energy management. Mohamed's experience also includes working as a Graduate Intern, assisting project engineers and business developers with technical proposals and energy system simulations. Earlier in the career, Mohamed held positions as Head Application Engineer and Technical Advisor at Al-Aidaroos Solar, as well as Field Engineer. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from Uni Kassel International Management School and Cairo University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Educational background includes completion of high school at Pleasantville High School.
