Lamont Niemann

Lamont Niemann has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lamont began their career in 2003 as a Graphic Designer at PostNet George and then moved on to Bargain Bulletin / Property Finder and Home Ads, where they held similar roles. In 2007, they joined Bowline as a Graphic and Web Designer and subsequently worked at Computer Traders as a Graphic and Web Designer. In 2009, they joined Web-Active as a Website Designer before transitioning to Blitsdruk as a Graphic Designer in 2011. Lamont then assumed the role of Managing Director at Domenetworx from 2006 to 2012.

Since 2014, Lamont has been associated with Smaato, initially joining as a Graphic and Web Designer and progressively taking on more responsibilities. Lamont served as a Web Designer & Developer from 2015 to 2016, followed by a position as a Senior Web Designer & Developer until 2019. From 2019 to 2023, Lamont held the role of Art Director at Smaato. Currently, they serve as the Director of Art and Operations at Smaato, a position they have held since February 2023.

Lamont Niemann began their education in 1998 at Hoërskool Outeniqua, where they completed high school in 1999. In 2000, they attended South Cape College, earning a NIC & NSC degree in Business by 2001. In 2002, Lamont briefly studied E-Commerce & Graphical Web Design at STADIO Higher Education. Later, in 2013, they attended KVHS Buchholz for a German Language and Literature course, completing a B1 level program. From 2011 to 2014, Lamont studied at New Horizons Computer Learning Centre Cape Town, focusing on Design & Media. Lamont'smost recent educational endeavor has been pursuing a BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Design and Innovation at The Open University since 2015.
