Flavio Cordeiro

Flavio Cordeiro has a varied work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Researcher in Theoretical Physics and Pure Mathematics at the University of Coimbra. In 2007, they received a Research Student Scholarship in Pure Mathematics at the Instituto Superior Técnico. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at ENEIDA.IO, where they held the roles of VP of Engineering, Lead Software Engineer and Product Owner, and Data Scientist and Software Developer. In 2020, they began working at Smarkets as a Lead Data Engineer, where they are responsible for managing and guiding the Data Team.

Flavio Cordeiro obtained their High School Diploma from Colégio da Imaculada Conceição in 2001. Flavio then attended Universidade de Coimbra, where they obtained a Licentiate degree in Theoretical Physics in 2006 and a Master's degree in Pure Mathematics in 2008. Flavio then attended the University of Oxford as a Phd student in Mathematical Physics from 2008 to 2012. In 2016, they obtained a certificate from Instituto Superior Técnico for the Lisbon Machine Learning School. Flavio also has obtained several certifications from Coursera, including "Building Resilient Streaming Analytics Systems on GCP" (2020), "Building Batch Data Pipelines on GCP" (2020), "Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP" (2020), "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals" (2020), "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" (2020), "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" (2020), "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" (2020), and "Using Python to Access Web Data" (2017).
