Abhijit Sahay

Abhijit Sahay has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Abhijit is currently working as the Head of Data at Smart Energy Water since 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CTO - Data at Altimetrik from 2019 to 2020. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Mediaocean. Before that, they were the Managing Director at Vichara Technologies in 2013 and the Chief Scientific Officer at hMetrix in 2012. In 2010, they held the position of VP of Engineering and Principal at TipTop Technologies. Abhijit also has experience working at Deutsche Bank as the Director and Head of Technology and Quantitative Research, Global Equities Arbitrage from 1999 to 2010. Abhijit started their career at SALOMON SMITH BARNEY as a Vice President and Co-head of Technology, Fixed Income Research from 1997 to 1999.

Abhijit Sahay earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1987. Abhijit received their B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1985. Before pursuing higher education, they attended St.Columba's School in New Delhi from 1979 to 1980 and St. Michael's High School in India from 1972 to 1978.
