Kanan Mahammadli

Kanan Mahammadli has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and data science. Kanan started their career as the President of the Baku Higher Oil School Math Club in 2019. From there, they went on to internships and programs in various companies such as Azercosmos, AITS, and Affable.ai, where they gained practical knowledge in machine learning and data science. Kanan then worked as a Data Scientist at Data Insight and later as a Machine Learning Research Intern at UCL, where they focused on physics-inspired deep learning projects and data quality analysis. Kanan also had a brief stint as a Computer Vision Research Intern at Computational Biomedicine Lab (CBL). Currently, they hold the position of Machine Learning Engineer at Smart Kiwi, where they continue to apply their skills in machine learning.

Kanan Mahammadli began their education in 2018 at Baku Higher Oil School, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Process Automation Engineering. Kanan completed this degree in 2020. In the same year, they also obtained various certifications, including "Problem Solving (Basic)" and "Python (Basic)" from HackerRank, as well as "Data Science Math Skills" and "Python 3 Programming" from Coursera.

In 2020, Kanan enrolled at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Statistics. Kanan is expected to complete this degree in 2024. Additionally, during this time, in 2020 and 2021, they attended ABB Tech Academy for a Machine Learning Bootcamp.

Kanan further enhanced their skills by obtaining multiple certifications. This includes completing the "Machine Learning" program at IBA Tech Academy in 2021 and achieving certifications in various subjects such as "Python for Everybody," "Mathematics for Machine Learning: Linear Algebra," and "Data Structures" from Coursera during 2020.

Prior to their academic pursuits, in 2019, Kanan earned an "IELTS" certification from the British Council for English language proficiency. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Professional Ethics" from SOCAR Training, Education and Certification Department in 2019.
