Leandro Carballo

Leandro Carballo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of radiology and neuroradiology. Leandro has held various roles at different companies, contributing their expertise in medical imaging and diagnostics. Leandro Carballo started their career at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, where they worked in the Radiology Department from May 2013 to June 2017. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at the Instituto Universitario Hospital Italiano from September 2015 to June 2016. Leandro Carballo then joined the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University as a SILAN Fellow from November 2017 to January 2018.

In 2017, Leandro Carballo joined FLENI as a Fellow in Neuroradiology, and later transitioned to the role of Neuroradiologist in April 2019. Leandro also worked at the Hospital Alemán as a Generalist Radiologist from August 2017 to March 2019. Leandro Carballo gained further experience at IMAXE Centro Diagnóstico, where they served as the Head of the Neuroimaging Department and also worked as a Neuroradiologist specializing in PET imaging from May 2018 to September 2022.

Leandro Carballo expanded their skill set by working as a Medical Translator at Smart Reporting GmbH starting in August 2020. Additionally, they became a Member of the Head and Neck Chapter at the Sociedad Argentina de Radiología in June 2020. In September 2021, Leandro Carballo joined the IAF (Instituto Alexander Fleming) as a Neuroradiologist and a Generalist Radiologist, contributing to the institute's neuroimaging services.

Leandro Carballo's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled at the Universidad Favaloro to pursue an Engineer's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Leandro completed this degree in 2011. During the same period, from 2005 to 2011, they also studied at the University of Buenos Aires and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree specializing in Medicine.

Following their medical studies, Carballo pursued a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program from 2013 to 2017 at the University of Buenos Aires. Simultaneously, during the same period, they also studied at the Sociedad Argentina de Radiología and obtained a degree in Médico especialista en Diagnóstico por Imágenes.

In 2022, Carballo enrolled in the Universidade da Coruña to pursue a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
