While most of our engineering and production activities are undertaken in New Brunswick, Canada, our global presence is increasing with team members located in centers like Atlanta, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Munich, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Tokyo. 

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Director of Demand Generation will lead a team of marketing professionals responsible for energetic, sustained and ambitious pipeline generation as well as revenue funnel optimization. This critical team player, leader, and coach, will design, plan, budget, oversee and track all functions related to pipeline creation in support of the company’s global revenue targets. With a strong focus on data and metrics, the Director of Demand Generation will oversee integrated marketing programs leveraging inbound and outbound, ABM, field, content marketing and other strategies to drive and accelerate pipeline growth.

As Director of Demand Generation you will:

  • Design, implement and fine tune a predictable demand generation model to support the business growth target.

  • Define, execute, measure and refine creative, compelling and effective multi-channel marketing revenue generation strategies aligned to persona's / audiences and our sales objectives.

  • Support pipeline and revenue goals by constructing and bringing to life marketing programs, and successfully creating and rolling-out highly-targeted and broad demand generation programs that engage and advance interest across the prospect and customer lifecycle.

  • Build the annual and quarterly demand generation plans based on sales targets

  • Working with key stakeholders from management, customer success and sales, define the annual demand generation/marketing budget and manage/own it through execution.

  • Establish predictability in demand generation performance in support of the company’s aggressive growth objectives.

  • Deliver  top of the funnel activity, MQL goals and revenue contribution attributed to marketing team members.

  • Track & measure demand generation performance and quickly adjust strategy and tactics based on insight and conversion rate/performance at each stage in the funnel, and create a predictable demand generation engine and ensure CAC is in line with ROI goals.

  • Define and implement lead scoring

  • Define and champion scalable, repeatable departmental processes.

  • Build and lead a team by supporting them to consistently achieve their goals /key business metrics (MQLs, SQLs, influenced ARR) and develop their skills to deliver high quality marketing campaigns with precision.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Proven track record in demand generation in enterprise B2B sales revenue lifecycle including MQLs and SQLs - 7+ years experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a demand generation leadership role, preferably in the B2B enterprise software space or a complex technical/solution market with longer sales cycles and/or multi persona.

  • Proven experience implementing and executing on established frameworks for demand generation

  • Experience in manufacturing is an asset.  Awareness and expertise in pharma and beverages, a plus.

  • A leader, a team player and a coach that doesn’t hesitate to roll up his/her sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.  Self-motivated, very thorough and results driven.

  • Ability to cope with ambiguity at times and act as a positive leader to the team

  • A desire to work both at a strategic level and tactically on projects and campaigns.

  • Deep understanding of the B2B customer journey and the implications on marketing strategy.

  • Expert in inbound marketing, ABM, email marketing and field marketing best practices with demonstrable success delivering earned (SEO/SEM, website, email), paid (PPC, event sponsorships, social), owned channels (web, webinar, podcast) demand generation programs.

  • Excellent decision-making skills in regards to allocating marketing spend.

  • Extensive skills in marketing technology, automation systems with hands-on experience with generative AI technologies to optimize operations and increase performance

  • Ability to compile and analyze data to develop metrics that support decision-making.

  • Analytical with a strong ability to think strategically, execute, and deliver measurable results. Excellent understanding of how to analyze and optimize conversion rates across the sales and marketing funnel.

  • Direct experience building, coaching and mentoring a high performance team (program managers, SDRs).

  • Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills.
