Alexander Shevtsov

Alexander Shevtsov has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2007. Alexander began as a User Support Technician at Itapteka.ru, then moved on to become a 3D Modeler at Freelance in 2008. In 2014, they became the CTO at Kengu24.ru, where they were responsible for IT infrastructure management and personnel management, and acted as a Product Owner for several projects. Alexander also developed a Payment System project from initial deployment to further development. In 2018, they took on the role of Head of Software Development at CFT, where they were responsible for one of the development centers of the Money Transfer project. During their time at CFT, they grew the team from 7 to 100+ engineers, implemented dev processes, decreased time-to-market, and headed and successfully launched the Loans project and in-house KYC solution. In 2021, they became the VP of Engineering at Smartcat.

Alexander Shevtsov obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) between 2003 and 2008. In 2019, they completed a Data-driven product management course by GoPractice! Simulator with GoPractice, Inc. Alexander also holds an MBA-Region certification.
