Gary Scullion

Gary Scullion started their work experience in 2001 at Camelot as a Business Development Executive. Gary then moved on to Cygnet Solutions Ltd in 2007, where they worked as a Software Specialist until 2012. In the same year, they joined Smarter Grid Solutions as the Head of Information Security, and later became the Director of Information Security & IT in September 2020.

Gary Scullion has a strong educational background in both Information Technology and Civil Engineering. Gary completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Aberdeen from 1993 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology at the University of Stirling from 2005 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Gary has obtained several certifications in various fields. Gary became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)² in November 2022. In September 2015, they obtained the ISO27001 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer (CIS LI) certification from IBITGQ. Gary also holds the Prince2 certification from APMG International, which they obtained in February 2015.

In the field of software development, they acquired the Microsoft Certified Professional - .NET Framework Application Development Foundation certification from Microsoft in April 2010. In June 2008, Gary obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional - Configuring and Administering SQL Server certification.

Lastly, they hold two certifications from Sun Microsystems. In February 2006, Gary became a Sun Certified Java Programmer, followed by the Sun Certified Web Component Developer certification also obtained in February 2006.
