Tamara Clay

Tamara Clay has a diverse work experience that spans over different roles and industries.

Tamara most recently worked at SmartHop as the VP of People, starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of People and Culture at cocokind from August 2020 to September 2021.

Tamara also held positions at Bolt Mobility as the Vice President of Talent Operations, where they oversaw HR functions from August 2019 to August 2020. Tamara was previously the Director of Talent Operations at Virgin Hyperloop One from February 2015 to August 2019.

Before transitioning to the HR field, Tamara had experience in the legal profession. Tamara worked as an Adjunct Professor at Rollins College from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they were the Managing Attorney and Owner of The Clay Law Firm, PLLC from June 2012 to February 2015.

Tamara also worked as a Manager of Legal Operations at JW International from January 2012 to June 2014 and as a Legal Assistant at Anderson and Associates, P.A. from 2011 to 2012.

Additionally, they have experience as a Business Consultant from 2006 to 2012 and as a Research Assistant at Stetson University College of Law from August 2009 to December 2009.

Tamara Clay has a diverse education history. Tamara holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stetson Executive MBA. Tamara also obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Stetson University College of Law, where they received a Leadership Development Certificate and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Prior to that, Tamara completed their undergraduate studies at Howard University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications.

Furthermore, Tamara has obtained additional certifications. Tamara received a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. Tamara is also a licensed Lawyer through The Florida Bar. In addition, Tamara holds the Senior Certified HR Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.
