Kraig Westerbeek

Kraig Westerbeek currently serves as President of US Hog Production at Smithfield Foods, a position held since March 2024. In addition, Kraig is the Chief Development Officer at Monarch Renewables, a role commenced in July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of both Smithfield Renewables and HPD Environmental Compliance, as well as Vice President of Environment and Support Operations at Smithfield Foods from June 2014 to June 2022. Kraig earned degrees in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, specializing in Agricultural Systems, from North Carolina State University between 1989 and 1993.
